Brian Pellegrini: CEO
Brian has spent the last 20 years building and leading service businesses in and out of healthcare. He was most recently the COO of Optum Advisory Services, a global healthcare consultancy. In this role, Brian was responsible for the financial, operational and strategic performance of the business. Prior to this, Brian held the role of Executive Vice President at The Advisory Board Company where he had operational responsibility for the consulting division. He joined The Advisory Board Company in 2012 to launch and a lead an integrated technology and services offering focused on cost and quality for complex surgical implants – bringing together physicians, administrators and suppliers to in a data-driven, quality-centric process. Brian also worked at The Broadlane Group (acquired by Vizient), where he was Vice President and General Manager. There he helped build and grow a hospital contract labor solution, focused on optimizing cost, quality and availability of nurses for their clients. Brian has been a consultant within and outside of the healthcare industry, serving a broad range of clients on operational and performance challenges. Brian’s career began as a mechanical engineer at Michelin and The Boeing Company. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Arnold Able: President and Chief Physicist
Arnold M. Able is a native of South Carolina and graduated with high honors from Clemson University in South Carolina where he completed both his B.S and M.S. in Physics (1978). He relocated to Maryland in 1979 to begin a career in Medical Physics. After successfully attaining ABR certification in Radiological Physics in 1985, he furthered his post-graduate education taking courses in the Physics Department at University of Maryland in College Park. Mr. Able is currently a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Health Physics Society (HPS), and, at various stages in his career, been a member of (or recognized by) organizations such as the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), Society of Physics Students (SPS), Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics Honor Society) and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Currently, Mr. Able is the President of Associates in Medical Physics (AMP) and Director of Physics and Technical Services for Radiation Management Associates of Silver Spring, MD - an organization dedicated to the operation and management of radiation oncology facilities. His activities include the development of Radiation Oncology programs and the technical direction to multiple facilities in medical physics. His career has spanned more than two decades in the greater Baltimore-Washington area as well as the surrounding tri-state region. In addition to the radiation oncology activities, Mr. Able is active in the Diagnostic Radiology and Health Physics fields. He derives satisfaction from the development of new individuals in the field of Medical Physics and Dosimetry. Mr. Able is interested in the elevation of the stature of the Medical Physicist within the health care facilities of the Mid-Atlantic region, particularly in the field of diagnostic imaging.
Wolfram Laub: COO
Wolfram has a strong track record of improving clinical operations and implementing new technologies in private practice, community hospital, and academic hospital environments. He has more than 20 years of experience in medical physics, with more than ten of those years in leadership positions. For ten years he was the Director of Medical Physics at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and before joining AMP, worked for several years at Johns Hopkins University as their Radiation Oncology Chief of Clinical Medical Physics. In addition to these clinical positions, he worked for over five years on a part-time basis for Computerized Medical Systems, which later became an Elekta company. He started his own physics consulting business in 2008 and has experience providing physics consulting services, such as linear accelerator commissioning and remote physics coverage. Wolfram holds a PhD in physics and an Executive MBA from George Fox University.
Jeanine Coleman: Account Management Executive
Jeanine began her business career as an in-house temp for ManorCare Health Services corporate headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD. After temping in the human resource, accounts payable and accounts receivable department she obtained a full-time permanent secretarial position in the risk management department. Following her employment at ManorCare she worked for Mid-Atlantic Radiation Physics, LLC where she assumed the role of assistant office manager for 5 years. In 2003, she accepted a position as administrative assistant to Arnold Able, then President of AMP. Since 2003 her titles have continued to evolve from administrative assistant, to administrator, to currently business operations manager. She obtained an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems from Strayer University in July 2017.
Sonia Fischer: CIO
Sonia has over 20 years of experience in health care information systems management. She holds an undergraduate degree in Information Systems Management, a Master of Healthcare Administration, and a Master of Business Administration. She acted in a key role in facilitating the development and certification of an electronic health record (EHR) for radiation oncology in order to meet standards set by both ACR and CMS with minimal interruption to clinical workflow. As CIO at AMP/RMA, she ensures continuity and quality of care for patients at various locations through management of several interconnected software systems. She balances maintaining continuous uptime while protecting patient health information in her role of HIPAA Security Officer. Sonia is an active member of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) where she participates in several committees and workgroups focusing on disaster recovery, cybersecurity and reimbursement programs affecting health care entities of various sizes.
